On Tuesday this week, Synthotech Research and Development Engineer Ben Loades took part in the IGEM North East and Yorkshire Young Persons Competition.
There were five great entries including Stress Crack Corrosion, Sustainable Procurement, Gas Shrinkage and the Humber Crossing Project. Ben presented on his work with ServiBoost. As the lead engineer he was able to talk about his involvement in the design, development, manufacture, assembly, testing and ultimate field trialling of the system. Well done to everyone involved, a particularly tough competition. Well done to Andrew Wynne of Rosen for winning.
ServiBoost is a unique device developed in partnership with Cadent Gas that provides a 5mbar uplift on a service with poor pressure to prevent the customer experiencing a no-gas situation.
