Synthotech and IGEM North East and Yorkshire branch would like to invite you to an event on the 20th September
This event is a must for anyone interested in future gas pipe replacement and maintenance techniques; for those interested in technology and how it can be embedded to help improve and transform processes; and for anyone who has always wondered âwhat if we could replace pipes remotely without digging holesâ.
They will give an insight into the TORS Journey from concept to operational reality, the challenges that have been faced and the solutions that have been implemented. Synthotech will then look at the future of TORS and its use in the gas industry in both the RIIO and RIIO2 regulatory periods.
The TORS robot is a Network Innovation Allowance (NIA) funded development with Cadent, designed to minimise excavations and third party interruption by remotely connecting service and mains pipes away for the road. The project is underpinned by the pillars of RIIO (Revenue=Incentives+Innovation+Outputs).
As a company Synthotechâs remit is to design, develop and supply robotic, vision and pipe maintenance solutions to the UK gas distribution and transmission networks.
