Caroline finds more interesting items inside live gas mains!

Synthotech work with the gas distribution networks to reduce excavation, environmental impact and customer disruption. Although most networks have their own resources to complete everyday works, every now and again something pops up that requires a ‘specialist service’.

This week, our Lead Technical Support Engineer Andy Tilley and Technology Transfer Engineer Simon Buckley visited a busy ‘traffic sensitive’ site. The 500mm diameter PE main was inspected by our SynthoTrax Crawler Caroline under live gas conditions. The vertical access system used with this system meant that excavation could be kept to a minimum, and customer disruption hugely reduced.

With our range of high quality specifically designed camera systems, our Technical Support Engineers are available to carry out most inspection surveys. Visit our ‘Knowledge base’ page to download the SynthoTrax data sheet, or contact our team today to discuss your specialist service needs.
