Last week the team were busy at events and this week they are looking forward to LCNI.
The SynthoTeam were invited by Northern Gas Networks (NGN) to support and showcase Synthotechâs products at their Innovation Awareness Day. We took several products that were developed in partnership with NGN including ServiceCam  and WExTech Services and WExTech Mains. All the NGN staff were enthusiastic about using them in the future. We are also looking forward to attending Low Carbon Networks and Innovation Conference (LCNI) at Telford tomorrow and Wednesday. The Project GRAID robot (developed with National Grid Transmission and three UK SMEâs – Synthotech Ltd, Premtech Ltd and Pipeline Intergrity Engineers Ltd), will be on display on National Grid Gas Transmissionâs stand (M08). If you would like to get up close to the award-winning robot please come along and learn how it can withstand 100barg pressures whilst negotiating complicated geometries.
Project STASS will be showcased on Northern Gas Networkâs stand (M02). STASS is a robotic crawler platform that assess the condition of joints in cast iron gas pipes, it can then spray sealant fluid into the joint as a leak prevention technique. STASS is being developed in collaboration with Northern Gas Networks and combines three gas network approved technologies; ALH âBond & Boltâ access system, Synthotechâs Synthotrax⢠robotic platform, and ALH Flexspray sealant.
