In-Pipe Robotics

LeakVISION is a patented in-pipe gas leakage detection sensor, mounted to a robot base or push-rod camera system. This innovative system is used for the inspection of in-pipe features to highlight potential areas of interest for leakage from pipeline features, such as joints, connections and defects.

SynthoTRAX™ is a small robotic vehicle used to survey metallic and polyethylene (PE) pipe from 12” / 250mm diameter and above. It operates in live gas up to 2barg and can survey up to 200m in each direction from each excavation. 

The System Two Assess Survey and Seal system (STASS) is a robotic vehicle that can be used in live gas pipes up to 2barg from 12” and above. This award-winning NIA funded project has been developed in conjunction with Northern Gas Networks and ALH Systems.  

GRAID™ stands for Gas Robotic Agile Inspection Device. It is a robotic non-destructive inspection system for high pressure 100barg non-piggable gas transmission pipes such as Above Ground Installations (AGI). GRAID™ is a world first and is currently operated and used by National Grid Gas Transmission.

The Tier One Replacement System (TORS) is a robotic in-pipe system that can replace service to main connections remotely without the need for excavation. TORS has passed all operational requirements that Cadent / National Grid Gas Distribution required to meet PL2.
