The last two months have been incredibly busy for our Technical Support Engineers who have been working with Cadent, NGN and SGN using our STASS robotic system for leakage repair and management of pipes. The STASS system uses a robotic system to deliver Flexspray sealant to lead yarn joints travelling up to 400m from one access point. This system delivers 3-4 weeks worth of traditional leakage repair work within 2-3 days at a fraction of the traditional costs from a single excavation.
We have recently successfully increased the capability of STASS so it now works on LP and MP pipes from 12-48inch pipes.
We are now fully booked until Christmas so we will be looking to recruit colleagues to join the specialist service team in January to support the increase in demand.
