WExTech

The WExTech systems for live gas services are portable and simple to use – a compact system designed to be carried by engineers for rapid resolution of supply interruptions caused by water ingress into the service pipework. There are two systems on this range, the WExTech S-1 which has a manual/ hand pump, or the WExTech S-2 which has a battery operated pump for ease. Both systems recycle the gas back into the service reducing the environmental impact.

• WExTech M-LTE (Light system) is designed to be a lightweight and compact system that can be used in conjunction with an Alan Taylor Unit (or similar).
• WExTech M-V1 (Van Unit) – designed to fit between the racking on a standard van and can be split into two parts which can be maneuverer with a two-man lift. This system has an in-built pump (or can be connected to an Alan Taylor Unit for larger volumes) and can recycle the gas back into the main.
• WExTech M-T1 (Trailer Unit) – a self-contained round carousel with the benefit of rough surface wheels and an in-built pump (or can be connected to an Alan Taylor Unit for larger volumes). This system also recycles the gas back into the main.Bespoke customised versions are available to suit specific network / contractor requirements.

WExTech Mains – Tier 2 is a push rod system for use in larger diameter mains with an outer diameter of 28mm. The unit can be used in conjunction with a SynthoCAM 3 system or a SynthoCAM TITAN pan and tilt system. 

The system is a large diameter coiler which can be connected to either a traditional Allen Taylor Bowser type system or can be connected to the unique WExTech™ Gas Recycling System.

SynthoTRAX WExTech is a robotic crawler designed for removing water for live gas pipes. The system enters the pipe through a vertical launch system, reducing excavations, and can travel up to 200 meters in one direction, up to 400meters from a single excavation. The connector behind the robotic crawler can be driven into the water within the pipe and it can be pumped out using an existing Alan Taylor Bowser type system or the unique WExTech™ Gas Recycling System.

SynthoTRAX WExTech can be inserted into live metallic pipes, end on for 10” and above, and vertically through a full circumferential tee in 16” to 20” pipe, and through a Bond and Bolted Saddles system or directly through a drilling base from 24” and above.

SynthoTRAX WExTech can be inserted into live polyethylene (PE) pipes, end on for 250mm and above, and vertically through a 250mm branch saddle in 400mm to 1200mm pipe.

Bespoke customised versions are available to suit specific network / contractor requirements.
