Metallic Camera Systems

The ServiceCAM™ Range is a live access CCTV system for use in ½”-2” metallic Services. It can survey up to 20m in a single direction and operates in pressures up to 4barg. 

The ServiceCAM™ Range consists of three systems which can be used in metallic pipes (although ServiceCAM LTE can only be used up to the first bend):

ServiceCAM LTE – easily and efficiently locates and traces causes of pressure issues in a metallic service up to the first bend. Can be used for pressures up to 75mbar.

ServiceCAM PE+M – is based on the ServiceCAM LTE but features the new ServiGuides which allows the user to navigate around up to 3 bends in metallic service pipes. This system also features a new tighter spring which, combined with the ServiGuides makes it easier to navigate bends. Can be used for pressures up to 75mbar.

ServiceCAM PRO – combines the new aspects of the ServiceCAM PE+M (tighter spring and ServiGuides) with a new enclosed reel that makes it easier to use especially in single person operation. The new winding reel system makes deployment and tidying up quicker and simpler. This system incorporates a meterage function that is shown on the Synthotech Display Unit (SDU), this is now easier to see in tight spaces thanks to the new adjustable mount. ServiceCAM PRO’s neat design is more compact than the other systems making it easier to store and transport. Can be used for pressures up to 4bar.

ServiceCAM™ can be inserted under live conditions into the services pipes from;

• an Emergency Control Valve (slotted and ball valve type)
  • without isolating the service via ServiBAG M-CEX
• end on to a pipe (via Live Service Isolator)
• tee piece (via CaPEX kit)

Suitable for use with:

• ½”, ¾”, 1”, 1 ¼”, 1 ½”, 2” metallic pipe
• 22mm, 28mm copper pipe

This live access CCTV system for use in 3” to 4” metallic gas pipes can be used in up to 4barg and can survey up to 80m in a single direction, 160m from a single excavation.

SynthoCAM™ Metallic 3” to 4” is not a full circumferential vision system, but a system that allows access into 3” and 4” pipe using the UK gas industry specification of D7 to gain access through a ¾” and 1” BSP drilling as appropriate. The system gives full circumferential vision in clean pipes, but in dirty pipes it will give up to ¾ circumferential vision.

• System 1 Cobra 19.5 – 4.5mm Ultralife 80m insertion coil with line tracing connection.

This system is the original live access CCTV system, it can be used in   metallic pipe from 4” to 8” up to 4barg and survey up to 105m in a single direction, 210m from a single excavation.

• ALH System 1 Base.
• WASK base.
• Pipetech Gasmaster System.

• Cameras:

• S301 camera – 30mm diameter camera. 
• S340 – 34mm diameter self-levelling camera.
• S490 – 48mm diameter, self-levelling camera.

• Cobras:

• System 3 Cobra 7.4mm – 7.4mm diameter, 80m long Ultralife/Standard insertion coil with line tracing connection.
• System 3 Cobra 9mm – 9mm diameter, 120m long Ultralife/Standard insertion coil with line tracing connection.

• Visual displays:
  • SDU-5 non record screen – 5.6”.
  • SCU-8 / SCU-8+ non-record / recordable screen – 8”.
  • SCU-12 / SCU-12+ non-record / recordable screen – 12”.
• Insertion systems:
• Fixed angled insertion.
• Vertical/Angled insertion.

• System 5 Cobra – 15mm diameter, 80m long Standard insertion coil.

Visual displays: 

• SDU-5 non record screen – 5.6”.
• SCU-8 / SCU-8+ non-record / recordable screen – 8”.
• SCU-12 / SCU-12+ non-record / recordable screen – 12”.

Insertion System:

SynthoTRAX™ is a robotic system used to survey live gas metallic pipes from 16” diameter and above using vertical insertion or 12” diameter with an end on launch. It can be used in pressures up to 2bag and can survey up to 200m in a single direction.

• 16” to 24” diameter using an under-pressure tee through bore valve such as a Donkin 555.
• 24” and above using an ALH System 3 valve or through a Bond and Bolt.
• End on using an end on fitting.

System comprises of:

• SynthoTRAX™ Crawler.
• TITAN Camera – Pan and Tilt camera head.
• SynthoTRAX insertion coil – 200m.
• SynthoTRAX™ recordable visual display and control unit.
• SynthoTRAX™ Insertion System.
